C for the win

Widely touted as the body's healing helper, vitamin C is also believed to help your cells protect against the effects of free radicals.  Studies indicate that eating fruits and vegetables rich in C may have every benefit from lowering cancer risk to decreasing dementia as we age. So other than from oranges (and since we do not speak of juice) where do we get it?

Eat it

Our bodies don't make vitamin C so we have to eat it. Here are the top 10 C heroes starting with the highest % of daily value:

Guava, Kiwi, Bell Peppers, Strawberries, Oranges, Papaya, Broccoli, Tomato, Kale, and Snow Peas

Wear it

Now, clearly more fun than eating your C is WEARING your C. While the health benefits can't compete with eating kale, ubiquitous celebrity praise turned our heads. With everyone from GP to Michelle Obama slathering on C, we have to admit we are curious. “I’m obsessed with the new vitamin C serum—you will be, too,” says Gwyneth.  Excited to try?  Here are 2 serums that passed our "clean and green" test.
